Watermelon Lemonade. I wanted to make a kid-friendly drink that would represent Jesus Christ's sacrifice.

If you decide to make this drink. It does taste good-which surprised me-but the ingredients separate fast. So just know to stir it before each sip.

A Bit O’ Cheer

IMG_3260

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

James Gagon and Mary Highland, my fifth great-grandparents, were from Kilbeggan Westmeath Ireland. Their grand son William Highland Gagon was born in 1887, and migrated to the United States during the Ireland potato famine. Here’s to my ancestry and a cheer for the Irish!

“These things I warmly wish to you-
Someone to  love
Some work to do
A bit o’ sun
A bit o’ cheer
And a guardian angel always near.”

Eden loves oranges! Because they fit into the color scheme they were added to the menu. She has never been a meat lover, so the corned beef wasn’t expected to be eaten, and it wasn’t.

A Craft from Ayzia

Ayzia's everyday color palette just so happens be a good-luck-rainbow of colors.

Now that Corned Beef has been tasted, I'm able to report that it's not favorable. It's not so much the taste, but the texture that turns me off from it. However, Ayzia did eat hers and Jake seemed to like it.

Dessert was supposed to be called Grasshopper Baked Alaska. But many alterations were made. The brownie mixture was made gluten free. The mint liqueur in the ice cream was substitute with pure mint extract. Also, the ice cream was substituted with frozen yogurt. A meringue was supposed to be on top. Maybe I'll call it Our Sober Grasshopper.

Peanut Butter Temptations ll

Jake and I watched  The Baker. It’s also named Assassin in Love. Either title suits the film just fine. What mattered to me was that it had Damian Lewis in it. It is a romantic comedy with British flare. The combination of this movie and a friend going through a difficult situation inspired me to make these. They are the most delicious gut-bombs ever! Here are two links:first lead is for the movie, second lead is for the recipe.
